GROUP REFORMER
Group Reformer classes are a wonderful option for clients with prior experience on the Reformer or for those familiar with the basic Pilates repertoire. The Pilates Reformer, invented by Joseph Pilates, is the most well-known piece of Pilates equipment. This dynamic and versatile apparatus promotes strength, flexibility and stamina by way of a built-in sliding platform and adjustable springs that accommodate varying body weights and exercises. The Reformer effectively sculpts and tones the body without building bulk, making one longer and leaner after each session. Accessing hard-to-reach muscles, the combination of support and resistance created by the springs boosts full-body stretching and strengthening without unnecessary added stress on the joints. The apparatus also facilitates many workout variations: exercises may be done lying down, kneeling, sitting, standing as well as with or without props to strengthen and condition the entire body. The possibilities are truly endless, making the Reformer advantageous for beginners or advanced practitioners.
Group Reformer classes are limited to 6 to 12 participants per class and require signing up in advance. A minimum of four (4) Private sessions are recommended prior to joining a Group Reformer class for the first time. Alternatively, we would suggest joining a Group Reformer Fundamentals class for safety and apparatus familiarisation purposes.
